Where it all started

I had a lucky break as a very young photographer. I was commissioned by People Magazine to provide the photographs for the cover story on Patricia Hearst. I visited the Hearst home; spent time with Bernard Shaw, Patricia's fiance; and visited the prison where she was serving time. This led to work for other magazines and newspapers including Look Magazine, Ms, Newsweek, The LA Times and the Atlanta Constitution.
